What it does
Camera frames and selected images are decoded in the browser. Camera mode can read one code at a time or detect several codes in one frame. Image Upload reads one result at a time and offers a crop step for busy images.
About Offline Barcode Reader
A browser tool for decoding supported barcodes and QR codes from a live camera or a selected image.
What it does not do
The decoder does not look up product names, confirm authenticity, or guarantee that a URL is safe. Results can be missing or incorrect when a code is blurred, damaged, too small, low-contrast, partly hidden, or surrounded by too little blank margin. Review a result before using it.
Source and limits
The public source code is available at https://github.com/Clickin/offline-barcode-reader. Decoding is local, but the page can load Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and normal hosting requests can include technical request metadata. Offline use requires a successful online warm-up and can be affected by browser cache eviction.
